Basic makeup items that you REALLY need

Friends of mine often ask: What items are really necessary, like what basic items?
Down here I will list a couple of things I think that are basic needed.
I’ll also will add the brand that I am using and other brands i think that are good, like dupes or so. I will order the products from most needed to less needed

The most important is mascara, it can do sooo much to a person.
It will make your eyes look so much bigger if you use a good one.
My favourite? Clinique High Impact Mascara
Good dupe? Maybelline Falsies (second favourite)

Concealer/Coverstick
Obviously you need one of those to cover up dark circles or pimples
My favourite concealer? Lancome Touche Eclat
Good dupe? Maybeline Instant Age Rewind
My favourite coverstick? Chanel - Estompe Éclat (it is a concealer but it covers pimples soooo good)
Good dupe? All over cover stick by Elf (DON’T use with dry skin)
Under eye by Elf (DO use for dry skin)

Blush
If you have a natural glow on your cheeks you don’t need this as a basic thing.
But if you don’t have that at all, or if you work with foundation that makes your natural glow dissapear, this is a basic.
My favourite: MAC in the shade Desert Rose
Good dupe? Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush

Foundation is only needed if your skin is like really pale or if you have very much redness or pimples or anything else you really want to be covered up.
My favourite: Dior Skin Nude
Good dupe: Maybelline Fit Me

Eyeliner is not needed that badly, that is why i put it as one of the last products.
My favourite: Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel by Maybelline
Good dupe: Essence Eye liner

Last but nog least you could use some eyeshadow.
It is hard to choose a favourite eyeshadow but if I really have to I’d choose a few:
My Naked 1 and 2 and two shades by MAC Satin Brulé and Cork

chocolat chocolat chocolat !

Hi guys! As if known, girls love chocolat!
So we made some things out of chocolat!

- Face scrub
- Lip balm
- Lip scrub

It was so easy to do and it really works (and smells and tastes good!)

INGREDIENTS

Face scrub:
- 1 teaspoon normal yoghurt
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon honey

Stir all the ingredients in a bowl and place it in the frigde for a couple minutes.
Apply it on your face (with a brush of fingers) and rinse with water, after that moisterize your face.

Lip balm:
Put a teaspoon of vaseline in a bowl and place it in the microwave for 2 minutes.
When it is melted take it out and add 1 teaspoon cacoa powder (be carefull, the vaseline will be very hot!) mix it al together and pour the mixture in to a small tin.

Lip scrub:
- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of honey

Do the exact same that you did with the face scrub, but you don’t need to put this in the frigde.

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
My most inexpensive beauty item is an Essence nailpolish i have the Gallactic Black and Wake Up! My most expensive beauty item is my ‘Dior Nude foundation’ or my ‘Chanel poudre universelle libre’

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?
My blush brush! The Sephora Collection Classic Angled Blush Brush, sometimes i get a good effect with it but sometimes I just hate it and switch over to another brush.

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?
My Lipjunkie Lipgloss by Urban Decay in the color naked. It smells like mint and when you apply it, it tastes so yummy!

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
My facial primer, I used the mac one and the one by Sephora. Don’t like them. If you know or use a good primer let me know!

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
Concealer, I love to use my YSL Touche Eclat.

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
I don’t see what this has to do with makeup but I’ll answer this question either way. I don’t have any specific preference but I like guys with a nice clothing style, pretty eyes and nice hair!

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
I think it is hard to buy makeup for someone else, but I do like to recieve it! Like a palette is nice to give someone or perfume! I love to get perfume as a gift. If you don’t know what makeup of perfume you have to buy your friend, sister or mother just get her a coupon! (Guys don’t like to get a coupon to get perfume, so get him a fragrance you like)

Nude Foundations

I was looking everywhere for a foundation that looked nude and natural!
Tried Lancome Teint Miracle, Estee Lauder Invisible,
tried some tinted moisturizers from Clinique and they all didn’t stay on my skin all day.
So i went to Sephora and asked (again) for a natural looking foundation!
They told me that i should try the Dior one.
Dior Nude, based on minerals.
And guys, this one is SOO amazing!
It makes you look like a natural beauty, go and get it!
Definitely worth the money!

dry your nailpolish fast !

Hi guys!

I bought this amaaaaazing stuff today!

This is it, it was only €2 that is equal to $2,63.
Express dry drops by Essence, it is only availible in some european countries.
Here is my short review and a dupe i found.

After applying your nailpolish wait 30 seconds and then let 1 drop fall on your nails.
Wait another minute or 2 and carefully keep your hands in cold water, dry them.
Your nailpolish should be dry right now!

+ nailpolish is dry very fast
+ no need to wait hours to have your nailpolish hard

- nailpolish is not hard
- it will make your skin arround your nails dry too
(so make sure you wash an hydratate your hands, you can use cuticle oil/cream, i really recommend heromes cuticle cream)

I checked out the internet and an OPI dupe: Drip Dry.
You should be able to get this at Sephora.

You should definitely check it out because it works! If you think the OPI dupe is too expensive you can always check out your local drugstore, they might have another dupe. I think there will be more products like this soon.

How to easily apply makeup

Today, people are so worried about how they look,
so there is this solution called makeup!
In this post we will help you with applying makeup in only 20 easy steps.
If you want more information, just ask us.

1 Find out what type of skin you have

oliy, dry, combination, moisturized,…
Make-up is based on skin-types, so this step is very important!
You don’t want a foundation for dry skins when you have an oily skin.
In many cosmetic counters there are people to help you with the analysis of your skin type. In drugstores they probably won’t know how to help you but if you are on low budget: see what the professional at a cosmetic counter recommends and buy a similar product at your favourite drugstore!

2 Wash your face (and hands!)
You want to start of with a clean skin. If you have acne use antibacterial soap.
After you washed your face you can use a toner, it will make sure the pH level of your skin is restored and it will pick any remaining dirt.
To dry: make sure you use a clean towel or take tissues.

3 Moisturize your face
Choose your moisturizer carefully depending on your skin-type.
Wait a few minutes and let it soak into your skin.

4 Apply facial primer (optional)
Primer will make applying foundation easier and your makeup will last longer.

5 Apply concealer
Put some concealer on red spots or under your eyes to look more awake.
Most people apply it after applying foundation, that is a mistake!
Your concealer is a diffrent color then your skin, it’s lighter so you should cover the light color with your foundation. Espacially when you use green concealer you should aply that UNDER you foundation, except when you like aliens.

6 Apply foundation or tinted moisturizer
Make sure it matches your skin tone, you don’t want too look like a ghost or worse an orange, do you?
If you think foundation is too heavy and tinted moisurizer seems a better option but you don’t have any mix some foundation with your moisturizer, tadaa!

7 Apply blush
Take your favourite blush brush and apply blush to your cheekbone.
People always smile and put blush on their apples, that is WRONG!
I’ll prove you with a little test: smile and put your finger on you apples (where you would apply blush) then stop smiling, where is your finger now? Exactly, next to your nose, that’s where your blush will be when you look normal, not that pretty huh?
So apply your blush to the apples but without smiling! Follow your cheekbones and blend the color towards your temples. (see yellow lines on picture)

8 highlighting
Apply some highlighter one your nose, above your blush and instead of applying highlighter under your eyebrows apply it above them to make your eyes look more awake, it will lift your face up. (see pink lines on picture)

9 Eye makeup
See next steps, hold on to the order, even if you skip some steps.

10 Prime your eyes

11 Eyeshadow
Apply a medium eyeshadow all over your lid and a darker one in the crease.
On the inside of your eye apply a very light highlighter.
Tap the brush to lose the excess eyeshadow.
Do not forget to BLEND! That is the most important!

12 Eyeliner
Line your upper lash line by stroking your pencil or liner from the inner corner to the outer corner. For a more natural look, dip a small brush into dark eyeshadow.

13 Curl your lashes
Make sure you do this before applying mascara, if you don’t: you are ruining your lashes!

14 Apply mascara
Choose your mascara depending on the look you want.
- If you have short lashes, go for a mascara that gives you lenght
- If you have thin lashes, go for a mascara that gives you volume
Never pump your mascara brush in and out the mascara. Turn it.

14 Lips
See next steps, hold on to the order, even if you skip some steps.

15 Moisturize your lips
Don’t waiste your money on expensive moisturizers for your lips,
buy vaseline! It is soooo good for your lips!

16 Line your lips
Use a color that is the same as your lips or the lipstick you are going to use.
It will make your lips look much fuller!

17 Apply lipstick
U can use a brush to do this.

18 Apply lipgloss
U can use a brush to do this if your lipgloss comes in a tube.

19 Finish
Apply a losse power to secure your makeup. It helps to make your makeup last longer.

20 During the day
Keep a pressed powder and a kabuki brush in your purse to touch up your makeup.
